NWF attended HIBAF 2023 in Kano, where our President Zakiyyah Dzukogi, Poetry Editor Abu Bakr Sadiq, and Spotlight Columnist Nana Sule were present.

HIBAF is a major festival for Hausa arts, language, and literature, drawing creatives from across Africa and the diaspora. The festival showcased the richness of Hausa literary traditions and provided a platform for writers, poets, and artists to connect and share their work.

NWF's Northern Narratives Initiative was among the projects that won the Open Arts Fund.
